Nutrition for Preventing & reversing Cognitive Decline, Yael Bernhard at The Kiva, Stoneridge, NY

October 13 @ 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Though it’s widely believed that nothing can be done to stop cognitive decline, and drugs are notoriously ineffective, new research in nutrition holds out great hope. Brain health is largely a function of inflammation levels and exposure to toxins. With healthy eating habits, much can be done to reduce inflammation and increase circulation in the brain, and to prevent hardening of arteries and build-up of dangerous plaque. Antioxidants rom specific foods also play a powerful protective role. Yael’s talk will include practical dietary suggestions to tip the scales in the right direction. We will discuss which foods to avoid, which to add, and even the order in which foods may be eaten in order to protect the brain and reduce the chance of developing all chronic inflammatory conditions, including cancer, hypertension, and so much more.
