The documentary film “Pale Blue Dot When You Smile…” reminds us of our human origin and perspective of life by showing us the relation between innovative, groundbreaking science and a centuries-old reverence for nature deeply rooted in Japanese culture.
At the film’s upcoming NYC debut, we will open with a brief mbira concert and end with a talk about water by Lum, the presenter of the film. Bathing in the frequencies of the water–like mbira music, the film, and the talk, promises to be a powerful experience of our oneness and shining light.

The Performers’ Profile
Master Mbira player and music healer, Kevin Nathaniel is a messenger of peace. He has worked with wide variety of artists including Alice Walker, Oprah Winfrey, Jonathan Demme, Ephat Mujuru, Thomas Mapfumo, Miriam Makeba, Bobby McFerrin, Niles Rogers, Madonna, Philip Glass and Nana Vasconcelos. Aside from performing healing concerts at various venues, you can find Kevin playing healing mbira music for the public in Union Square Park, New York City, almost everyday.
Saco Myoji is a composer, lyricist, mbira player, pianist and vocalist. She has been performing with various configurations of her own groups, and collaborating with many different artists in the US and Japan. She started playing mbira three years ago, feeling the connection to our ancestors. She has been called to play outdoor for vibrational communications with people on the street and all lives in nature, and for giving a gratitude to the Earth.
