Animal Medicine Card: The Ant / Patience ~ “Ant is working for the good of the whole. Are you? If you are, be assured that the whole wants the same goodness for you, and that it will be provided.” – Jamie Sans & David Carson; Medicine Cards

Full Moon in Aries / October 9th ~ A desire for independence, new experiences and pushing past limitations will be brought by this month’s full moon. It will also highlight our need to be nurtured and supported by our connections with others. We will be urged to bring our attention to wounds we haven’t fully processed.

New Moon Solar Eclipse in Scorpio / October 25th ~ This new moon is taking us on a journey of letting go of lingering grudges or bad blood. We will experience intense energy as we enter into Scorpio season to dive deep and face our shadows.

As I sit listening to rain gently patter on the rooftop, enjoying a candle casting amber reflections off nearby crystals, I am slowly gathering messages to share for the month of October. When I think of autumn, I instantly feel my thoughts slow down, diving deep. The rain really is a queue from mother earth to settle in, curl up under a nice soft blanket and explore our thoughts a bit deeper. This is such a great time to reflect, start a journal, tidy up loose ends or unresolved issues.  This practice allows us to start fresh with a new mindset and plant seeds for the future. Ask yourself the big questions. What ideas have you had? What has inspired you as of late? How will it serve the highest good of all? What isn’t serving you? What can we let go of?

With intense energies brewing under the surface this month, the ant spirit urges us to be patient with ourselves and those around us. We will feel the need to get things done, to forge ahead with new inspirations, but as they say, slow and steady wins the race. And of course the ant is all about its community and working together as a whole. I feel a change coming, one that is uniting us slowly and an awareness that we are all working towards one goal. Like a big pot of wholesome chili, the longer we allow the different flavors to simmer, the better the chili will taste.

In conclusion, this month will be transformative and may bring about radical change in how we live our lives, our priorities, our values and our beliefs. However, it will also be a month of healing, purging and coming together. All in all it will be beautiful and I look forward to what changes this may bring about as a collective!

Wishing peace and love ~
