Designed to help Afghans after US withdrawal, one organization is now flinging the doors open for everyone.

After the messy withdrawal of US troops from Afghanistan, thousands of refugees and allies were left stranded and in danger from the Taliban. Americans came together to find ways to help them get safely to the US, including former presidents who started a nongovernmental organization (NGO) to help provide flights for those fleeing the country. Now, though, that same agency is not only bringing migrants from other countries, but is also linked to none other than billionaire George Soros.
Former Presidents Barack Obama, Bill Clinton, and George W. Bush and their respective former first ladies helped to launch an NGO called Welcome.US to help Afghanis and Americans trapped after President Joe Biden’s disastrous withdrawal efforts. In a statement issued around that time, the Bushes said, “Thousands of Afghans stood with us on the front lines to push for a safer world, and now they need our help. We are proud to support Welcome.US and the work to help Afghan families get settled and build new lives.”
The NGO has been successful, helping nearly 20,000 Afghans to escape to America. Millions of dollars were raised from donations from US citizens as well as corporate entities such as The New York Times, Walmart, Starbucks, and Microsoft.
Soros People Helping to Ship Migrants to America
Critics, however, notice that Welcome.US has members of George Soros’ Open Society Foundation sitting on the group’s National Welcome Council. Since 2000, Soros has donated nearly $21 billion to various left-wing agendas, “making him perhaps the biggest ATM for leftist political causes in the world,” according to Hayden Ludwig of the Capital Research Center, as reported by Liberty Nation Political Columnist Joe Schaeffer.
But now the former presidents’ NGO has teamed up with Miles4Migrants and American Express Global Business Travel to bring migrants into the US from various countries, including Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, Ukraine, and Venezuela.
Migrants Getting a Free Ride?
The border crisis has been a tenuous topic on both sides of the aisle and each side is working to make specific agendas realized. The Democrats are bent on making America an open border country while Republicans try to stem the flood of illegal aliens pouring into the US, adding to an already out-of-control flood of drug and human trafficking.
Senator Ron Johnson (R-WI), during a Senate committee hearing last week, estimated that nearly five million illegal crossings have happened since Joe Biden took office in early 2021. Biden and other Democrats have made no secret of the goal to make it easier for migrants to enter the US and become citizens. Using his magical presidential pen, Mr. Biden canceled many of former President Donald Trump’s immigration control policies within just his first few days in office. The Biden administration is looking for ways to fast-track citizenship for illegals and refusing to work with southern border governors struggling against the massive surge of migrants into their areas. So, this new marriage of migrant-orientated agencies might just be the thing to help the left succeed.
In fact, as Joe Biden said in a January White House press conference, “Today, I’m announcing that my administration is going to expand the parole program for people not only from Venezuela, but from Cuba, Nicaragua, and Haiti,” many of the same countries on which Miles4Migrants has focused. Although Congress has set an annual cap of about one million migrants, Biden promised he could legally add 360,000 more each year. He also claimed he has the power to do so because Republicans are not being cooperative on his immigration policies. “I’m left with only one choice,” he explained, “to act on my own, do as much as I can on my own to try to change the atmosphere.”
According to Miles4Migrants’ website, at the time of this writing, they had given free flights to more than 41,232 people from 97-plus countries. The program uses “donated frequent flyer miles, credit card points, and cash to help people impacted by war, persecution, or disaster reunite with loved ones and start new beginnings in safe homes.” So far, more than 731 million miles have been redee
