To Have Bolognese

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 lb ground pork
  • 1 carrot peeled
  • 1 celery chopped
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 1 lg can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 jar marinara sauce
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 cup half and half or heavy cream
  • grated parmigiana cheese
  • cooked pasta (any type that you prefer: spaghetti or rigatoni, penne, you pick!)
  • salt and pepper
  • spices that you like: oregano and or thyme. Chili pepper flakes if you want a little heat

Instructions
 

  • Add olive oil to pot. Throw in onions, carrots and celery. Cook 8-10 min to soften, then add in ground beef and pork, stir, and cook until meat is brown. Add in marinara sauce and crushed tomatoes.
  • Stir and bring to a boil, then reduce heat to a slow simmer.
  • After about 45 minutes or to your liking, add the half and half, or heavy cream
  • Cook for another 15-20 minutes
  • Add your cooked pasta, and salt and pepper to liking and top with Parmigiana
