The starting place for our conversation will be an exploration of new (and ancient!) practices that reunite the realms of artistic creativity, scientific inquiry and moral responsibility.  I’ll share an example of an art piece/devotional practice/social experiment I’m calling “Life Altaring”.  We’ll share examples from our lives of what supports we find to navigate wholeness in a fractured society.

The potluck is informal and always works out beautifully with plenty of food if someone comes empty handed.  After the meal, we form a circle in the living room to hold one conversation together.  We work on developing our capacity to listen, allow a space for silence, and share “when the spirit moves”.  There is never any pressure to share.  We close with a social poem built from phrases the group used during our conversation.
